Drone flight approval request

When the zone or operation type requires approval, you prepare a structured request with flight data. Drone Log generates the document from your map check — you submit it through official channels.

What is an approval request?

The request asks for authorization to fly in a restricted or conditional zone, including pilot, drone, coordinates, altitude, date and purpose.

Format depends on the responsible authority indicated on the UAS map.

Drone Log does not submit on your behalf; it prepares a correctly structured document.

When do you need a request?

When the UAS map indicates coordination or prior approval is required.

When the operation exceeds open-category limits or NOTAMs impose special conditions.

Do not take off until you receive written confirmation.

What the generated request includes

Operating area coordinates, maximum altitude, time window and UAS identification.

Graphic schema and HG 859/2021 references.

Pre-filled fields from your map check.

FAQ

No. You generate the document and send it from your own email.

Checking is free without an account; generation and archiving require a free account.

As early as possible — sometimes 24–48h for CTR, more for complex operations.

Log the flight, keep proof of approval and re-check NOTAMs on flight day.

Why use Drone Log?

One place to check airspace and prepare the flight — without rebuilding data manually before every mission.

  • All essential information in one place: UAS map, NOTAM, request documentation and logbook.
  • Fast check on the exact flight point, not just the city name.
  • UAS zones and NOTAMs correlated for the planned date and time.
  • Generate the documentation needed to request approval when the zone requires it.
  • Flight log with export, linked to the checks you made.
  • Time saved before every flight — less hunting across separate sources.
