Official guide on Defense.ro (Romanian Defence Staff): Aerial filming / photography approval

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing and using Drone Log, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any provision, please stop using the platform.

2. Platform purpose

Drone Log is intended for personal flight record keeping. The platform provides profile management, flight log tracking, data export, and assistance with preparing the documents needed to request flight approval (for example application forms and attachments in PDF/DOCX format), and does not replace your legal obligations toward authorities or third parties. Drone Log does not grant flight approvals, authorisations or clearances. These are issued exclusively by the competent authorities and institutions, and the documents prepared in Drone Log are only requests that you submit yourself. An MApN clearance for aerial photography, filming or mapping does not constitute flight approval: the conditions and restrictions of each zone and any other required authorisations still apply. Drone Log is an independent service: it is not affiliated with, endorsed, authorised or operated by the Romanian Ministry of National Defence (MApN), the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority (AACR), ROMATSA, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) or the MApN AEROFOTO application. References to these authorities and links to their official sources are provided for guidance only.

3. Eligibility and user account

To use the services, you must provide real, complete, and up-to-date information when creating your account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity performed through your account.

4. User obligations

5. Data, export, and backup

The data you enter belongs to you and remains your responsibility. Although the platform provides export options (PDF/CSV), users are solely responsible for verifying generated files and storing backups in secure locations.

6. Limitation of liability

Drone Log is provided "as is", without express or implied warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or direct/indirect consequences resulting from platform use.

7. Privacy and security

We take reasonable measures to protect data, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for their own devices, passwords, and preventing unauthorized account access.

8. Cookies

The platform uses required technical cookies for user experience (authentication, session, language, “Remember me”, cookie consent). With your consent an optional analytics cookie (visitor_id) may be used. The light/dark theme preference is stored locally in your browser (localStorage), not in a cookie.

9. Service changes or termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue platform features in whole or in part, with or without prior notice, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by applicable Romanian law. For questions, use the Contact page or email [email protected].

11. Acceptable use

You may not use the platform for unlawful activities, unauthorized access attempts, service disruption, or uploading content that infringes the rights of others.

12. Intellectual property

The platform software, application structure, design, and features are protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

13. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to update these terms when necessary. The latest version will be published on this page, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Editorial content (blog and guides)

Articles, guides and informational pages on drone-log.app are educational for UAS pilots. They do not constitute individual legal, aeronautical or operational advice. Flight decisions remain solely with the pilot/operator, who must verify NOTAM, the UAS map, MoD clearances and applicable AACR/EASA requirements.

15. Limitation of liability for public information

Although we periodically review editorial content, regulations and NOTAMs change frequently. We do not guarantee that published text reflects the current airspace or legal status. You use the information at your own risk.
