Generate the authorization request for your drone flight
Checked the area and need authorization? Turn the flight data into a request that is ready to send, without filling in the same information every time.
How it works
- You check the area where you want to fly
- You fill in or review the flight data
- You generate the request
- You download the PDF and send it to the competent authority
Why generate the request online?
Filling in a request by hand can mean typing the coordinates, the altitude, the flight window and the drone details over and over. Drone Log takes the information you already entered when you checked the area and uses it to prepare the request.
If you already checked the location with the “Can I fly my drone here?” tool, the available data about location, altitude and flight date can be used to pre-fill the request.
With an account, your details and your drones' details can be saved for future requests, so you don't fill them in again every time.
From checking the area to the authorization request
Start by checking the location where you want to fly. You will see the conditions and any restrictions that apply to the area.
If the result says authorization is required, you can continue to generating the request.
You review the information, generate the PDF document and can submit it to the competent authority.
With a free account, the requests you generate and the flights attached to them can be kept in your Drone Log journal.
What does the generated request contain?
The document may include:
- the coordinates of the operation area;
- the shape and size of the area — point or circle;
- the maximum AGL altitude;
- the planned date and time window for the flight;
- the drone details;
- a graphic representation of the operation area;
- the information and references needed to document the request.
The document is generated as a PDF, so you can check it before submitting it to the competent authority.
Start with checking the area

- Drone flight approval in Romania — complete guide In Romania, some drone flights can be performed without extra approval, while others require coordination before take-off. The difference depends on the UAS map, NOTAMs, exact location, altitude, time and purpose.
- How to use Drone Log (drone-log.app) Drone Log helps you check the flight area, prepare documents and keep flight records. Below are simple steps from sign-up to export.
- AACR drone approval — when you need it and how to get it Not every zone requires AACR approval, but some flights in controlled or restricted airspace do. Knowing when and how keeps you legal — and avoids last-minute surprises before take-off. In practice, AACR appears as the civil authority when the UAS map or zone procedure requires coordination before flight; it does not replace ROMATSA checks or MoND clearance where those apply.
- Drone pre-flight checklist for Romania Before take-off, run five simple checks. A good decision needs the UAS map, NOTAM and a sound aircraft.

Why use Drone Log?
One place to check airspace and prepare the flight — without rebuilding data manually before every mission.
- All essential information in one place: UAS map, NOTAM, request documentation and logbook.
- Fast check on the exact flight point, not just the city name.
- UAS zones and NOTAMs correlated for the planned date and time.
- Generate the documentation needed to request approval when the zone requires it.
- Flight log with export, linked to the checks you made.
- Time saved before every flight — less hunting across separate sources.
