What this means for you

Drone Log organises practical steps — the final decision stays with you and official sources (UAS map, NOTAM, authorities). It does not submit requests for you or replace official verification.

Before sending documents, check if you need approval. Then generate the approval request or read about the HG 859 request and flight approval in Romania.

Steps in the app

  1. Create an account and confirm your email Sign up on drone-log.app and confirm your address from the email you receive. Some features need a verified account.
  2. Complete your pilot profile Go to Pilot profile and add your details (name, phone, UAS operator ID). These are used when generating approval documents.
  3. Add your drone Under My drones register model, serial number and weight. You select it on the map for each flight check.
  4. Open the UAS map and set the flight Choose UAS map from the menu. Set drone, start time, duration and planned max altitude — these matter for NOTAM checks.
  5. Mark the location and check the area Tap the map or use your location. You can draw a circle or polygon for the operation area. The side panel shows status: allowed, approval needed or prohibited.
  6. Prepare a request if required If the zone needs approval, complete the map steps and generate documents (PDF/DOCX). You send them from your own email to the authority indicated.
  7. Save frequent locations (optional) Saved locations let you return quickly to the same point on the map without searching coordinates again.
  8. Log the flight and export After flying, add an entry under My flights. From Export flight log you can download PDF or Excel for your records.
