Drone Log on iPhone, iPad and Android

Drone Log is not just a website. The same app is available for iPhone and iPad on the App Store and for Android phones on Google Play, with the same account and the same data as on drone-log.app.

What you do in the app

  • Pick the flight location on the map and see the ROMATSA UAS zones and NOTAMs that affect it.
  • Draw the flight area as a circle or polygon and set the altitude and the planned date and time.
  • Run the flight check and find out whether you need an approval or a clearance.
  • Generate the authorisation request from the check data, when the flight requires one.
  • Keep track of your drones and flights in “My Flights”.

On iPhone and iPad

The iOS and iPadOS app is a free download from the App Store and works on both iPhone and iPad.

Web or app?

The account and the data are the same: a drone added on the web shows up in the app, and a request generated on your phone also shows up on drone-log.app. The apps add a few things the browser does not do as well:

  • a map built for the phone screen, handy in the field;
  • notifications that remind you of your planned flights;
  • the email address confirmation link opens straight in the app (on iPhone and iPad from version 1.3.4).

On the web you get the same checks, with nothing to install, from any browser.

Free plan

The apps and the website share the same Free plan: unlimited flight checks, up to 2 drones on your account and up to 5 authorisation requests per calendar month.
